TABLE TENNIS
POST OFFICE CLUB CLOSES SEASON. COMBINED DOUBLES TOURNEY. The Post Office Table Tennis Club held a combined doubles tournament on Tuesday evening to mark the close of the season for this year. Representatives from other clubs were present and a very enjoyable evening was spent, supper being provided by the ladies. The competition was won by Mr. lan Coleman and Miss M. Greenlees. Individual results were as follow:— Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore beat Mr. Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-26, lost to Mr. Boyes and Miss Quinn, 31-27, lost to Mr. Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka, 31-27, beat Mr. Richards and Miss Doyle, 3121, lost to Mr. Coleman and Miss Greenlees, 31-20. and lost to Mr. Day and Miss Scanlon. 31-28. Mr. Ihaka and Miss Riley lost to Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore. 31-26, lost to Boyes and Quinn 31-26, bea< Woollett and Ihaka. 31-28, beat Richards and Doyle, 31-27, lost to Coleman and Greenlees, 31- lost to Day and Miss Scanlon 32- Mr. Boyes and Miss Quinn beat Quinn and Lochore 31-27, beat Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-26, beat Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka. 31-23. beat Richards and Doyle. 31-16, lost 31-23 to Coleman and Greenlees, and lost to Day and Scanlon. 31-27. Mr. Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka beat Quinn and Lochore, 31-27, lost to Mr. Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-28, lost to Boyes and Miss Quinn 31-23, beat Mr. Richards and Doyle 31-16, lost to Coleman and Greenlees, 31-21, and beat Day and Scanlon, 31-27. Mr. Richards and Miss Doyle lost to Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore, 31-21, lost to Mr. Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-27, lost to Boyes and Miss Quinn 31-16, lost to Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka, 31-16, lost to Coleman and Greenlees 31-27, lost to Day and Scanlon, 31-27, Mr. Coleman and Miss Greenlees beat Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore, 31-20, beat Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-25. beat Mr. Boyes and Quinn, 31-23 beat Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka, 31-21, beat Richards and Miss Doyle. 31-27, beat Day and Scanlon. 31-27; Mr. Day and Miss Scanlon beat Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore. 3128. beat Ihaka and Miss Riley, 32-31, beat Mr. Boyes and Miss Quinn, 31-27, lost To Woollett and Mrs Ihaka, 31-27, beat Mr. Richards and Miss Doyle, 31-27 and lost to Mr. Coleman and Miss Greeenlees, 31-27. On behalf of club members, the chairman, Mr. A. G. Wiltshire, expressed appreciation to Mr. K. E. Woollett for his services to the club and the very best wishes to him in view of his departure for military service. Musical honours were enthusiastically accorded to Mr. Woollett.
