POST OFFICE CLUB CLOSES SEASON. COMBINED DOUBLES TOURNEY. The Post Office Table Tennis Club held a combined doubles tournament on Tuesday evening to mark the close of the season for this year. Representatives from other clubs were present and a very enjoyable evening was spent, supper being provided by the ladies. The competition was won by Mr. lan Coleman and Miss M. Greenlees. Individual results were as follow:— Mr. Quinn and Miss Lochore beat Mr. Ihaka and Miss Riley, 31-26, lost to Mr. Boyes and Miss Quinn, 31-27, lost to Mr. Woollett and Mrs. Ihaka, 31-27, beat Mr. Richards and Miss Doyle, 3121, lost to Mr. Coleman and Miss Greenlees, 31-20. and lost to Mr. Day and Miss Scanlon. 31-28. On behalf of club members, the chairman, Mr. A. G. Wiltshire, expressed appreciation to Mr. K. E. Woollett for his services to the club and the very best wishes to him in view of his departure for military service. Musical honours were enthusiastically accorded to Mr. Woollett.
