FLOWER SHOW APPOINTMENT OF JUDGES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The judges for the Featherston Horticultural Society’s show, to be held on Thursday, November 21, are: Class I, Mr W. H. Booth, Middle Run, Carterton; classes 2, 3 and 4, Mr Esau, Masterton; classes 5 and 9, Mrs Hall. Masterton; class 6, Mr Roberts, Featherston; class 7, Mrs Pink, Carterton; class 8, Mrs Moser, Masterton. Mrs R. Hardy is to be in charge of the produce stall. All the proceeds are to go towards the war effort. The society is deeply indebted to Mr C. Carter for his donation of four 5s trophies for classes 1,2, 3 and 4. Another special prize is Mrs Ritche’s ■lss for a fruit cake. Mrs H. Lawson has given four special prizes in the children’s section. Euchre Tourney. There was a good attendance at the Home and School Association’s euchre party held in the Anzac Hall on Tuesday night. The prize winners were Mrs Rewai 1, Miss K. Ruane 1. Lady Galway Guild. A case of blankets, the gift of Mrs D. H. S. Riddiford, has been forwarded to the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild headquarters in Wellington from the local guild.
