STOCK MARKET
BULL SALE AT CARTERTON. SATISFACTORY PRICES. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held our annual bull sale of both pedigree and grade cattle at the Carterton yards yesterday. Over 90 bulls were yarded and attracted a large number of dairymen. There was a very keen inquiry and practically a total clearance was effected at very satisfactory prices. The top price was £3B 10s obtained for a particularly well grown yearling bull. Other prices ranged as follows: Two-year pedigree Jersey bulls, £9, £l2, £l7, £2O, £22; yearling pedigree Jersey bulls, £8 10s, £lO, £l5. £l7, £25, £3B 10s; yearling grade Jersey bulls, £ll, £l3 10s. £l5; 2-year pedigree S.H. bull, £l3 10s; yearling pedigree S.H. bull, £9, £l3 10s; 3-year Ayrshire bull, £l5; 2-year Ayrshire bull, £l2; 1 3-year Holstein bull. £9 10s; 1 2-year purebred Red Poff bull, £l3.
