WAIRARAPA SHOW
SPLENDID RESPONSE BY EXHIBITORS. The response by breeders and other exhibitors has been so good that the Wairarapa Show which is to be held at Carterton on Wednesday and Thursday October 30 and 31, will be right up to the high standard of previous years. There should be strong competition throughout the live stock classes. The display in the home industries, cheese and school classes should be very good. Machinery and motor firms will be well represented. In the amusement section there will be a splendid display cf the latest novelties and riding devices. and games. A special feature at this year's show will be the exhibit by the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, and this should be a show on its own. In the jumping competition for horses owned by members of the Wairarapa Paper Chase Club, the restriction as to the number of runs followed has been deleted. The classes for light horses and ponies shown in harness will be judged on the first day.
