1 ASSURANCE OF DEFENCE COOPERATION SWIFT AID IN CASE » OF NEED. MEMBER OF JOINT BOARD BROADCASTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) OTTAWA, October 20. Colonel O. M. Biggar, chairman of the Canadian section of the Canadian and American Defence Board, in a broadcast, said that no American military forces would be based in Canada till an emergency necessitated it, but he gave an assurance that Canada could view with a quiet mind the dispatch of troops, aircraft and munitions overseas.
“Canada knows she will not be left alone, even for a day, to resist a coastal attack.”
