GREYTOWN

RIVER OVERFLOWS BANK ROAD COVERED BY WATER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The heavy warm rain yesterday caused the Waiohine River to flood. Ai noon water was up to the top of the banks and by the middle of the afternoon was across the road. Early in the evening the bank was broken by the water near Mr McKenzie's property and the road was covered with water for some considerable distance south of the bridge. List of Soldiers. The Greytown branch of the Red Cross Society is endeavouring to compile a complete list of soldiers from the district and would appreciate next of kin calling at the local office or sending in the correct name, number and unit of their soldier relatives.
