NAZI VICE-CONSUL
4 REVEALED AS DIRECTOR OF ESPIONAGE THROUGHOUT U.S.A. ACCORDING TO NEW YORK NEWSPAPER. REPORTED DOCUMENTARY ' EVIDENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, October 18. The “New York Post” declares that the German Vice-Consul, Herr Friedhelm Draeger, is revealed as the director of Nazi propaganda, espionage and sabotage throughout the United States through the testimony of Dr. Frierdich Auhagen, a former professor of Columbia University, who was arrested at Los Angeles' 1 in September as he was about to leave for Japan. The newspaper adds that Draeger is also deeply involved by documentary evidence in the possession of the Departments of State and Justice and the Dies Committee as a result of raids on the German Tourist Information Office on August 23, the Trans-Ocean News Service on August 28, and the Library of Information, New York.
