MAGISTRATE’S COURT
CIVIL BUSINESS YESTERDAY. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following civil cases at the Masterton Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. Barber Bros. v. R. J. Crothers. claim 15s 9d, costs 9s; H. W. Rishworth v. L. P. Bennett, £lO ss, costs £2 14s; Long and Son v. J. Pauling, claim £2 14s 6d, costs £1 5s 6d. J. Himona was ordered to pay Smith and Donovan Services, Ltd., £6 13s 3d. in default 7 days’ imprisonment, order to be suspended so long as defendant pays £1 a month. Hira Marsh was ordered to pay W. E. Davis £l4 5s sd, in default 10 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays £1 per fortnight.
E. Knott was ordered to pay the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op. Association. Ltd., £7 10s Bd. in default 7 days’ imprisonment.
