BASKETBALL RUSSELL CUP WON BY KONINI A. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final games for the Russell Cup were played by the Bush Basketball Association at Pahiatua. ST. CUTHBERT’S CHURCH CONFIRMATION SERVICE. St Cuthbert's Church was crowded last night for the annual confirmation service. A most impressive service was conducted by Bishop Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato. Fiftten candidates were confirmed. The Bishop gave a most interesting address on the meaning of the confirmation service. After the service the congregation adjourned to the Sunday Schoolroom where supper was served by members of the auxiliary, assisted by vestrymen. An elocutionary item by Mrs A. Gyde was much appreciated. Personal. Miss House, Tasmania, is visiting Mrs Robinson, Station Road.
