BUBONIC PLAGUE
OUTBREAK IN FAR EAST CITY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyrightl TOKIO, October 14. The Hsinking correspondent of the Dome! news agency reports that 18 persons are dead as the result ol an outbreak of bubonic plague which occurred on September 24. The authorities, fearing a major epidemic, have prohibited gatherings, closed theatres, ordered a thorough cleaning of the city, banned people not wearing masks from the streets, and place five districts in quarantine.
