GUN CLUBS
MASTERTON AND CARTERTON AMALGAMATE. NEW GROUND BEING DEVELOPED. A decision to amalgamate the Masterton and Carterton Gun Clubs was made at a meeting held in Masterton last night. The name of the new club is to ‘be the Wairarapa Gun Club and it was stated that it was hoped to develop it into one of the best clubs of its kind in New Zealand. It owned its own ground and it was intended to erect a suitable building. Officers were elected as follow: — Patron. Mr J. McKenzie Senr.; president. Mr C. E. Grey; vice-presidents, Messrs D. McKenzie. F. Taplin. J. Udy: secretary. Mr M. Kiddie; assistant secretary. Mr W. H. Saunders: executive. Messrs F. Taplin, C. A. Gray. M. Kiddie. C. E. Grey. H. K. Smith. J. McKenzie Junr.; general committee. Messrs C. E. Grey. W. H. Saunders. H. K. Smith. J. McKenzie, J. W. McKenzie, D. McKenzie, G. Vincent, C. A. Gray. J. Crawford, R. Williams. M. Kiddie. F. Taplin. J Udy, F. Allen, A. Teal and one other; referees. Messrs H. K. Smith. J. W. McKenzie and C. E. Grey; treasurer. Mr J. Laurenson.
