GIRLS' LIFE BRIGADE

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS The eighth anniversary of the Methodist Girls' Life Brigade was celebrated last night under the leadership of Miss Irene Shoosmith, who was the recipient of a bouquet. Aftex- entertaining members of the executive at tea. the girls presented an entertainment which included camp drill and brigade work such as life-sav-ing. signalling, formation and drilling. An enjoyable concert programme included "Ten Little Niggers” and "The Kittens."

The brigade formed itself into four parties, each representing a floral emblem and each presenting its own interpretation of its emblem in connection with brigade work. A birthday cake occupied a prominent place at the lea celebrations.
