Limited Damage
CAUSED BY YESTERDAY’S RAIDS ON BRITAIN An Air Ministry communique states that a number of attacks were made on Britain yesterday by enemy aircraft, mostly fighters. Some bombers crossed the coast and a few penetrated to London. A certain number of bombs were , dropped in the south and east areas, but the damage was not heavy. There were a 'number of casualties, including some people killed. A few bombs were dropped elsewhere, but there was no serious damage. Up to 5.30 p.m. nine German planes had been shot down and ten British machines were missing.
