OVER 43 YEARS SERVICE

MR W. A. TODD TO RETIRE. Mr W. A. Todd, Manager of the Masterton branch of the Bank of New Zealand for the last 10 years, will retire on superannuation at the end of this month, after over 43 years of service. Mr Todd is a son of the late Lieut. Colonel Brigade Surgeon Alexander Todd, M.D., of Waipawa, and joined the Bank of New Zealand at Waipawa in 1897. After transfer to various centres he was placed on the relieving staff of the Bank and eventually was appointed accountant at Taihape, being subsequently assistant accountant at Auckland, manager at Opotiki and latterly manager at Masterton. Mr E. J. Heffer, lately assistantmanager at the Wellington branch, who will succeed Mr Todd, arrived in Masterton this morning to take up his new duties. Mr Todd’s many friends will learn with pleasure that the Todd family will continue to reside in Masterton.
