SALE AND SHOW JERSEY CATTLE CLUB. The fifth annual show and sale of the Wairarapa Jersey Cattle Club provides an opportunity for the farmers of the Wairarapa to fulfil their requirements. Great Britain in her time of trial needs much more produce than hitherto, and this, together with the ever-increasing costs on the farm demand that farmers shall increase their butter-fat production. Progressive dairy farmers throughout New Zealand with high (producing grade herds have recognised the value of a pedigree herd sire of good butter-fat backing and by such an investment have built security for themselves and their families against high costs and falling markets. The offering has been divided in two sections, A and B, bulls in the former section are all qualified to sire “marked calves.” An inspection of all bulls for type and condition by an independenffjudge will be made on the Carterton showgrounds on the morning of the sale on Thursday next. For those unable to attend the sale a stud stock expert will be present from Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and will make seections on their behalf. The sale will commence at 12.30 p.m. Personal Items. Mr W. Spooner has been spending' a holiday on the East Coast and has been enjoying sea fishing. Mrs W. Gregor, of Wakelin Street, is visiting Lower Hutt. River Erosion.
