The Australian Jockey Club officials stated that the Randwick meeting was the best for ten years. The attendance for the four days totalled 176,000, an improvement of 17,500 on last year. The most successful owner was the New Zealander, R. Stewart, whose Beau Vite won three races worth £5.800. The leading sire was Beaupere whose progeny won £6,050. F. McGrath was the leading trainer with five wins worth £9,895. Mosaic was badly hurt in the Randwick Plate on Saturday and will not ( race again this spring.
