INDOOR BASKETBALL

LOCAL COMPETITION. FINAL GAMES TOMOROW NIGHT. The final games of the local Indoor Basketball competition will be played at the Y.M.C.A. tomorrow night. The principal match will be played between the P. and T. Department and the W.F.C.A. These teams have had only one loss. The P. and T. Department, which is a new team in the competition, has done very well and their supporters will no doubt be there in force as usual to cheer them on to victory. They will be unfortunate in not having the services of their captain. W. Wickens. The W.F.C.A. team is a very strong one, having three first-grade players in Pullar, Wilson and McCormack, all Wairarapa representatives. The P. and T. Department will have to play at the top of their form to beat their opponents. The other games will be between well-matched teams, and these should serve as a good support to the final match. The challenge match between the State Kitchenette team and the P. and T. Department should provide interesting basketball. The State team was the most improved team in the last competition, and it will be interesting to see how they fare in this match. Of the other matches the Old Boys v Bouzaids and W.F.C.A. v Reliance matches should be well above the average. The following is the draw and times for the matches. State Kitchenette v P. and T. Department at 7 p.m.; Reliance v W.F.C.A., 7.20 p.m.; Bouzaids v Old Boys, 7.40 p.m.; Grahams v Vesta, 8 p.m.; Reliance v Old Boys, 8.20 p.m. Final of competition, P. and T. Department v W.F.C.A.. Ltd., at 9 p.m.
