POWER STATIONS

BOMBED DURING RAID ON BERLIN OTHER SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS. ONE BRITISH PLANE LOST. On Monday night the R.A.F. dropped a hundred heavy bombs 'on three power stations in Berlin, and caused a large fire at an aerodrome, the 8.8. C. reports. An aircraft factory, naval dockyards, goods yards and aerodromes elsewhere were also bombed, and the German invasion ports were attacked. One British plane is missing. DAYLIGHT RAIDS ENEMY PLANES SHOT DOWN OVER LONDON. More German planes were destroyed yesterday in daylight raids on Britain, the 8.8. C. states. Several were shot down over London. A few raiders reached central London and bombs fell in a crowded street. Tn spite of traffic being at its height the casualties were not numerous, though there were some deaths. A few bombs were dropped in south-east England, but damage and casualties were not serious.
