ACCORDING TO OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN PLANS FOR “ANNIHILATION OF LONDON.” ONE-POINT PROGRAMME OF R.A.F. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, October 8. An official spokesman in Berlin declared: “This isn’t a blitzkrieg, but merely hammer blows against England. Germany has adopted a new method of air warfare that is designed to achieve, first, absolute control of the Channel and the entire English coastal area; secondly, complete annihilation of London, including all military objectives and industrial production; thirdly, paralysis of Britain’s industrial, technical and civil life; fourthly, demoralisation of the civil population in London and the provinces ;and, fifthly, a progressive weakening of the British fighter force.” He added that the operations so far were merely in their initial phase. A London commentator remarked: “This is a strange announcement, as the Germans are already claiming that these objectives have largely been attained.” He added, “In the meantime the R.A.F.’s one-point programme is proceeding well. It is the smashing of Germany’s military production.” CIVILIAN DEATHS FEWER THAN THOSE OF NAZI AIRMEN. LONDON. October 7. Lord Croft, Under-Secretary for War, states that more German airmen have been killed or captured in the last 12 weeks than all the civilians they killed in Britain in the same period. !
