W.F.C.A. Ltd., TurnoverReferring to the increase in turnover recorded by the W.F.C.A., Ltd., last year, Mr T. Jordan, speaking at the annual meeting on Monday, said the merchandise turnover last year ,was over £500,000. This figure was given incorrectly in the report published yesterday.

Sunday School Anniversary. The Kuripuni Methodist Sunday School will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary at the weekend' when a large gathering of old scholars and SundaySchool workers is expected. On Sunday special song services will be held. Visiting ministers will include the Revs. Knowles-Smith (Greytown) and J. A. Daglish (Carterton).

Model Shearing Shed. A working model of a shearing shed, which comprised one of the exhibits at the Centennial Exhibition has been received by the Masterton A. and P. Association from the exhibition authorities. It was included as part of the Wairarapa district display and no doubt will be seen on future occasions at the Society’s shows.

Sequel to Motor Fatality. John Edwin Guy, Whangarei, builder, was at Kaikohe on Monday committed for trial in the Supreme Cour, on three charges of failure to stop after an accident, failure to ascertain if any damage had been done and failure tc render assistance. The charges are a sequel to an incident in the early' hours of June 1. when Mrs Florence Ellen Anderson was knocked down by a motor while walking home from a dance at Kaikohe, receiving fatal injuries. Missing Aircraft. “Aircraft from New Plymouth arc , still searching the areas from which new reports have been received,” the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, said in the House of Representatives yesterday. ■ when discussing the steps taken in the . endeavour to locate the Airspeed Oxford, with a crew of three, which disappeared early last week on a flight from Hobsonville to Ohakea. There was a large attendance at a dance held in Mr Cooper’s Barn, Opaki, last night. The music was supplied by Jack Barnes's Orchestra and extras were played by' Messrs J. Martin and E. Spackman. Mr W. Cooper was a capable M.C. A Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by’ Miss Wilkinson and Mr McKenzie and a Monte Carlo fox trot was won by Miss I. Curtin and Mr E. Spackman. The next dance will be held on October 22. The usual free buses will be run.
