MINERS CEASE WORK
TROUBLE ON WEST COAST. OBJECTIONS TO REGULATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, October 7. At a stopwork meeting this morning the Dobson Miners’ Union decided to do no work today as a protest against the Public Safety Emergency Regulations gazetted last week. It is understood that the motion was carried by a small majority.
It is improbable that the mine will resume tomorrow.
