T AKURA MAORI ENTERTAINERS. A bumper house should greet the Te Rapu O Akura (Akura Maori entertainers) on Monday next at the Opera House. They have made special dresses which will be a feature of the show. The performers are all well up in their work and the public can expect a good evening’s entertainment. There will be solos by J. Uru. and other vocal numbers, interspersed with poi dances, hakas and action songs. Mr Cecil Torr will 'appear twice on the programme, introducing new songs. The old Masterton favourite, Mr Harry Hall, will introduce a humorous song illustrating a canny Scot trying to buy a wedding present. Among other items he will sing “Chrysanthemums," which he finds hard to pronounce. The box plan is at Messrs Steele and Bull’s. There is no charge for booking.
