COURT SITTING MOTORING AND OTHER CASES. ("Times-Age” Special.) A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court , was held in Greytown yesterday, Mr ' H. P. Lawry, S.M., being on the Bench. , Judgment was given in the case of Edward Benge versus J. D. Morison, a disputed claim. On the claim Benge got judgment for £9 12s lid, while ; on a counter-claim Morison was awarded £27 8s sd. Mr C. C. Marsack appeared for Benge and Mr J. F. Thompson for Morison. In an undefended claim H. Trotman and Son obtained judgment against B. James for £2 12s, with costs £1 3s 6d. For failing to pay Social Security levies (four charges) A. E. McPherson was fined 10s with £2 9s 6d costs on one charge and convicted and discharged on the remaining charges. As a result of a motor accident on the Morison’s Bush Road on a recent Sunday evening, when the driver of * the car was arrested, several charges were dealt with by Mr Lawry. Louis Frances, of Masterton, for being intoxicated while in charge of a car, was fined £l5 with costs £1 Is. His driver’s licence was cancelled and he was disqualified from driving for one year. Patrick Burns, licensee of Morison’s Bush Hotel, was fined £5 and costs for selling liquor on a Sunday and George Patrick Burns was fined £3 and costs for supplying liquor at the same time. The members of the car party, Louis Frances, George Deane and Charles Roberts, who were also charged with aiding and assisting in the unlawful supply of liquor, were each fined £1 and costs. Edward Kingi and Tommy Wheto, for causing a disturbance at Greytown Town Hall Pictures on a recent Saturday night, were each fined £2 and costs. Wheto was also charged with aiding and assisting in the unlawful supply of liquor to a Maori, and was fined £3 and costs. Hinerangi Hone Himu, for keeping unregistered dogs, was fined £1 with 17s 6d costs. Traffic Inspector Nicholson proceeded against G. J. Annear and Mabel Quinn and each were fined 10s with costs for failing to carry warrants of fitness in their motor vehicle. On a similar charge P. H. Mills was fined £1 and costs. GOLF DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The draw for the second round of a bogey competition (club trophy) to be played by the ladies at Greytown on Saturday is as follows: —Miss B. Gregor v Miss M. Eccles, 12.28; Miss M. Skeet v Miss P. Tully, 12.31; Miss R. Collier v Mrs Gold. 12.34; Miss Higginson v Miss Nix, 12.40; Miss DorMcPhee v Miss Nix, 12.40; Miss Dorgan v Miss Ellmers, 12.43; Mrs Thompson v Mrs C. Ingley, 12.46; Mrs G. Ingley v Miss. Wood, 12.49; Miss J. Feast v Mrs R. Ingley, 12.52; Mrs Maddison v Miss B. Feast, 12.55; Mrs Jury v Miss E. Gregor, 12.59. The following is the draw for the final round for the club trophy to be played by the juniors over 9 holes:— Miss Harding v Mrs Nicholson, 12.28; Mrs Stuart v Mrs Stevens, 12.31; Mrs Dunnet v Miss A. Feast, 12.34; Miss Wiggins v Miss B. Shedden, 12.37; Miss McPhee v Mrs Wiggins, 12.40; Miss Reading v another, 12.43. The men will play a flag competition and unfinished games will be completed for the Consolation Cup. Personal. Mrs S.
