Many Targets Pounded

WORK OF THE BRITISH BOMBERS On Tuesday night, the 8.8. C. reports, the list of German targets attacked by the R.A.F. in Germany again included some in Berlin, where attention was paid to the north-west suburbs, which specialise in the manufacture of machinery. A big electrical equipment factory was bombed. Four terrific explosions and a brilliant flash, which lit up the sky, followed. Other pilots reported fires and explosions over the target areas. Elsewhere oil refineries, aeroplane works, power stations and railway yards and centres were attacked. In one place a fire was started which was visible 60 miles away. Potential invasion bases and Channel ports were fiercely pounded and the long-range gun emplacements also received attention.
