ITALIAN DEMAND
SYRIAN SHORE BATTERIES ACTION AGAINST ALLIED LANDINGS. OR AERIAL ATTACKS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, October 1. The Italian Armistice Commission in Syria is demanding that all shore batteries on the Syrian coast be kept ready for action, as a protection against aerial attack and Allied landings, states a message from Istanbul.
