DANISH PUDDING

FOR SUNDAY’S SUPPER. Mix together 2 heaped cups of brown or rye breadcrumbs and add 1 dessertspoon sugar. Place them in the oven (slow) until they are very dry, but not browned. Allow them to become cool, then mix them with 1 cup apricot or plum jam (the more tart the jam is the better the sweet will be), 1 cup chopped almonds or walnuts. Press into a round basin, chill well, and when ready to serve turn out and serve with whipped cream.
