SCRAP METAL
COLLECTION FROM PRIMARY SCHOOLS. All the Masterton primary schools have made a good response to the appeal for the collection of scrap metal to assist the Empire’s war effort. On Friday, a lorry load of scrap was collected from the Central. West and Whatman schools, besides an additional contribution from St. Patrick’s School. The Lansdowne School had previously sent in a large quantity. Included in the latest collection were three coppers.
