MASTERTON SOCIETY’S ANNUAL REPORT. FURTHER IMPROVEMENT RECORDED. The sixty-fourth annual report of the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, to be presented at the annual meeting to be held on Monday next, by the chairman of directors, Mr D. M. Graham, states: “The directors are pleased to be able to point to a further improvement in the position of the society since last meeting. 1939-40 1938-39 1937-38 Net Profit £1705 £1734 £l6BO Percentage on Profit on Average Share Capital 6% 5.96% 5.67%> Total Loans .... £72 909 £72,561 £70,785 “The retiring directors are Messrs D. M. Graham and A. W. Chapman, who are both eligible for re-election. There are no other candidates.”
