WORK HELD UP
STRIKE AT COAL MINE. DISPUTE OVER PAY TICKETS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH. September 26. The Liverpool State coal mine is idle today because of a dispute about the issue of pay tickets. It is customary to issue the tickets the morning before pay day, which is tomorrow, but this morning the tickets were not available for truckers and wages men because of pressure of work at the mines office. The men held a stop-work meeting and decided to go home.
