Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington market this week are quoted as follows: — Lemons, 12s to 14s 6d a half case, mandarins, 14s to 17s 9d a half case. Tomatoes, hothouse, 2s 3d to 2s 4d a lb, three tomatoes, 10s to 13s Gd a half case, grapefruit, 5s to 10s a case. Asparagus, Is to Is 7d a bunch, cucumbers, hothouse. 6s to 15s a dozen. Green peas, 8d to Is lid a lb, new potatoes, 3Jd to 4Jd a lb. Potatoes, 3s 6d to 6s a cwt, onions, 5s to 13s a cental bag, kumeras, 12s to 17s 6d a sugar bag. Cabbage, Savoy. 7s to 9s 6d a sack, spring, 3s 6d to 7s Gd a case, lettuce, choice, 8s to 14s Gd a case, others, 2s to 7s, cauliflowers, 10s to 24s a sack, silver beet. Is 6d to 3s 9d a case, spinach. 7s to 17s a case.
Pumpkins, 10s to 46s a sack, carrots, Is 6d to 7s 3d a case, swedes, 2s 6d to 6s 9d a case, parsnips, 2s 6d to 6s 6d a case, beetroot, 3s to 7s 3d a case, leeks, 4s to 6s a case, celery, choice, 12s to 21s a case, other, 8s to 10s, rhubarb 8s to 12s a dozen bunches.
