MEN FOR CAMP
FOURTH REINFORCEMENTS LEAVING DISTRICT NEXT WEEK. TERRITORIALS ALSO GOING. 1 A large number of men from the Wairarapa will proceed to camp next week. Altogether, 131 recruits for the Fourth Reinforcements will leave for various training camps and in addition, about 100 Territorials will proceed to Dannevirke to commence a course of intensive training. The Territorials will leave by the 11 a.m. train on Tuesday next, Octooer 1. On Wednesday, two batches of men for the Fourth Reinforcements will leave, one party numbering twelve for Burnham Camp, by the 2 p.m. mail train from Masterton, and the other party of eleven for Papakura Camp, by the Palmerston North rail-car leaving Masterton at 6 p.m. Men from centres other than Masterton will join the train and the rail-car at other stations, according to the advice given in their notices. On Thursday, October 3, 103 men will proceed to Trentham Camp by the mail train leaving Masterton for the south at 2 p.m. Men from Eketahuna, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston and Martinborough areas will join the train en route.
