ALFREDTON TALKIES

A BRILLIANT COMEDY. Nearly 18 years ago a small block of ordinary wood began to assume the features of an impish boy—Charlie McCarthy, the famous dummy of ventriloquist. Edgar Bergen. Together with W. C. Fields this trio is rated as Hollywood's top comedy combination, and in "You Can’t Cheat An Honest Man,” they certainly live up to their reputation. This picture will be shown at Alfredton tomorrow night. This hilarious comedy is the outcome of a bitter feud between Fields and McCarthy. Constance Moore gives a brilliant performance in the picture, and a new face seen on the screen is that of Princess Baba, youngest daughter of the White Rajah of Sarawak. Another newcomer is Blacaman, Hindu animal hypnotist, who performs some amazing feats.
