CRIPPLED CHILDREN

NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY. MEETING OF WAIRARAPA BRANCH. At a meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children's Society held yesterday, a number of . cases were brought under review and authority given: (1) For the manufacture of an obturator for a cleft palate case; (2) for operative treatment on another case by a specialist; (3) for a youth to be examined by a doctor, and (4) for steps to be taken to secure suitable employment for a crippled boy. The Masterton Trust Lands Trust advised the allocation of a grant of £25 for the benefit of crippled children within the Masterton Small Farm area. The continued support of the Trust is gratefully acknowledged by the executive. It vzas resolved to send a letter of sympathy to the president, Mr S. L. P. Free, who is indisposed, and to wish him a speedy recovery. An appeal is made by the Wairarapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children's Society for a push-chair or tricycle which is required to transport a crippled child to and from town for treatment. Would any person willing to donate either a push-chair or tricycle please communicate with Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Perry Street, Masterton.
