FUNDS FOR BOMBER
WOMEN’S DIVISION EFFORT. APPEAL FOR DONATIONS. A fund is being opened by the Masterton branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union to give a bomber to Britain in appreciation of the work of the R.A.F. The Dominion executive of the division has sent a circular to all branches stating that it was intended to collect £ 5000 to provide a bomber. The proposal has been taken up most enthusiastically by branches throughout New Zealand and already large contributions have come in. The Masterton branch is not behind in this effort and a fair amount of money has been subscribed by members. A donation of £lOO has been made by the Dominion president of the division. It is emphasised that although large donations are welcome, the smallest are equally acceptable. Donations may be sent to Mrs A. C. Gawith, trustee of the bomber fund or to Mrs C. H. McKenzie, branch treasurer, Renall Street. It is imperative that all donations should be in hand by the end of this month.
