MINING DISPUTE

TO GO TO COMMITTEE. WORK RESUMED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 6. A decision to allow the dispute to be 'dealt with by the disputes committee was reached at a meeting of Macdonald miners this morning, and work was resumed after a stoppage of several days. The men assembled at the mine before 8 o’clock and were addressed by the president and secretary of the Northern Miners’ Union. As it was thought the meeting might be prolonged till after the usual time of commencing work at 8 a.m„ the management had agreed to allow the men to enter the mine at about 9 a.m., and the usual day’s work was then commenced.
