GLADSTONE
FOOTBALL CLUB’S BALL
A BRILLIANT SUCCESS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Gladstone Hall was crowded last night for the Gladstone Football Club's Ball. The function was a brilliant success and was one of the best ever held in the district. The floor was in good order and those present spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The music was supplied by Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys and the duties of M’s.C. were capably carried out by Messrs K. Joblin and J. Henson. Extras were played by Miss Herrick. Supper was served by a capable ladies’ committee. At a suitable interval the presentation of cups in connection with the third grade football competition was made as follows: —Most improved back. W. Ireland; most improved forward, H. Butcher. Dancing was continued until an early hour when the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem brought a pleasant gathering to a close. The success of the nail was chiefly due to the hard work put in by the committee and the secretary, Mr E Henderson.
