BUILDING SOCIETY
WORKERS MUTUAL BENEFIT. ALLOCATIONS BY BALLOT AND SALE. A general meeting of shareholders of the No. 2 Workers’ Mutual Benefit Society was held last evening for the purpose of allocating £4OO by ballot and £4OO by sale in the No. 2 Society and £BOO by ballot in the “B” Group. Mr R. Krahagen, chairman,, presided over a fair attendance of shareholders. Mrs W. L. Hunter was nominated to draw the marbles for the ballot. The successful shareholder in the ballot was Mr J. R. Dean, of Wellington, who, holding two shares was declared entitled to a loan of £4OO, free of interest. As no tenders were received for the £4OO offered by sale, a further ballot was held, the successful shareholder being Mr T. P. Turner, of Ohakune, who also was declared entitled to a loan of £4OO free of interest. The successful shareholder in the B Group was Mrs K. A. Russell, of Masterion, who was declared entitled to an advance of £BOO free of interest.
