FROCK CATCHES FIRE
MASTERTON GIRL SUFFERS EXTENSIVE BURNS. VICTIM TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. Extensive burns wore suffered last night by Miss .Jean McMaster, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. W. McMaster, of River Road, when her evening frock caught alight. After being attended to by Dr Graham Cowie she was conveyed by ambulance to the Masterton Hospital. The accident occurred at her home at 8.45 o'clock, when it appears her frock caught alight as she passed an electric radiator. In a flash her frock was a mass of Hames. A companion who pulled the burning frock from her was burnt on one of the hands. She was about to leave for the Charity Ball. Miss McMaster is employed by the W.F.C.A., Ltd., in Mr G. Daubney's office.
