ROTARY CLUB

BUSINESS AT WEEKLY LUNCHEON. NEW PRESIDENT TAKES OFFICE. The weekly luncheon of the Masterton Rotary Club today marked the first meeting in the new Rotary year, when the president, Mr J. J. Hunter, handed over the gavel and chain of office to the president-elect, Mr P. F. Fagan. There was a large attendance of members and their wives, to whom a warm welcome was extended by Mr Hunter.

There was no speaker for the day, but an interesting film of the'- manufacture of Wedgewood was shown. As a token of esteem and an appreciation of the services he had rendered the club during his term of office as president, the presentation of a handsome oak tobacco jar suitably inscribed was made to Mr Hunter by Mr Fagan. Mr Hunter acknowledged the gift.
