BUILDING SOCIETY

WORKMEN’S FRIEND NO. 2. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The monthly meeting of the directors of the Workmen's Friend No. 2 Building Society was held last night. Mr W. Kemp, chairman, presiding. There were also present Messrs T. B. Braggins. C. W. Walker. E. J. Brown. A. E. Hubbard. S. M. Gilding and 11. L. Price. Apologies for absence wen' received from Messrs A. V. Dixon and E. H. Morton.

Two applications for advance of appropriations were dealt with, one being 'left in the hands of the valuation committee with power to act. ’Two applications to withdraw subscriptions. in the estates of deceased members were dealt with.

The secretary reported that two mortgages had been paid off and it was resolved that the seal of the society be affixed to the releases. It was decided to hold an extraordinary general meeting on October 2

for the appropriation of £41)0 by ballot.
