MINERS IDLE

STOPPAGE AT McDONALD PIT. DISPUTE OVER WET. TIME PAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 4. No work was done today at the McDonald coal mine, Waikato, and it is unlikely that the 200 miners 'who have been idle since yesterday morning because of a claim by one man for wet time payment will work tomorrow. No other mines in the district have been affected.

Mr T. Hall, secretary of the Northern Miners’ Union, said that it had been decided to hold a district executive meeting tomorrow morning, and if possible he would address the miners.
