BASKETBALL BUSH DEFEAT TE KAWA. (“Times-Age” Special.) One of the best representative basketball matches seen in the Bush district for some considerable time was played in the Pahiatua Drill Hall on Monday night when Bush met Te Kawa in a match to decide the holder of the Oxley Cup. Despite the high standard of play by the visitors. Bush ran out the winners' by 36 goals to 23. In a curtain-raiser the Bush B and C representatives staged a very close tussle, the former winning by 19 goals to 16. Personal Items. Mrs R. D. McGregor, Pongaroa, is spending a fortnight's holiday in Eketahuna. Mr C. Gainey has returned to Pongaroa after a short trip to Wellington. Mr R. A. Tringham, of the Pongaroa Post Office staff, has received notice of his transfer to Dannevirke.
