MARTINBOROUGH
SCHOOL COMMITTEE MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Martinborough School Committee was held on Monday evening. There were present: Messrs W. J. McNally (in the chair), K. Arthur (secretary), E. C. Sadd (treasurer), R. P. George, J. A. Beveridge, G. P. Cotter, and F. B. Wright . Correspondence was read from the Wellington Education Board stating that plans for repairing the school had been approved, and that the work would be carried o,ut forthwith. Accounts amounting to £l3 14s 4d were passed for payments. Messrs Lawrence and George were appointed a visiting committee for the month. DAMAGE TO SCHOOL WINDOWS BROKEN. At the meeting of the Martinborough School Committee on Monday night, it was reported that several windows had been broken in the school. An inspection was made and it was found that no less than 52 panes of glass had been broken deliberately with stones. Several other windows were cracked and it will be necessary to replace them.
