GREYTOWN
RED CROSS SOCIETY WEEKLY EUCHRE PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The weekly euchre party held at Mrs Len Morgan's residence, on Monday night in aid of the Red Cross Society's funds was very successful. The prizes which had been donated by Miss Hill were won by Mrs Benseman (ladies’ section), Mr Gregor (men). The consolation prizes went to Mrs J. Parker and Miss Gregor, while in the hidden number competition. Mr A. G. Peterson was succesful. Mr McLeod announced the takings for the evening amounted to £2 4s 6d. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr and Mrs Morgan for their hospitality.
MINIATURE RIFLES CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION. The following were the scores in the Greytown Miniature Rifle Clubs championship competition final: — A grade: R. Eaton 69, R. Ingley 68, Miss G. Gray 67. Miss L. Gray 69, R. Tilson 67. H. Gray 67, G. Gray 64. Badge winner: Miss C. Gray. B grade: H. Bockett 69, Miss T. Bennett 69, W. Allen 69. Miss B. Bennett 66, E. Bennett 66, T. Gray 69, R. Gray 68, W. Dennis 68, I. Trotman 61. Badge winner: Miss T. Bennett.
