LICENSING BENCH
MEETING AT CARTERTON. TWO TRANSFERS GRANTED. (“Times-Age” Special.) In the absence of Mr H. P. Lawry, Mr F. W. Smith presided at the quarterly meeting of the Wairarapa Licensing Bench held in the Court House, Carterton, this morning. There were also present Messrs W. C. W. Sorensen, J. Purvis and C. Skill. Police reports concerning hotels in the district were received. All were being conducted in a satisfactory manner. Fire escapes at the various hotels had been attended to and were in a satisfactory condition. Two transfers were applied for and granted as follows: —Miss Carney to Mr Hugh Fabey in respect of the Royal Oak ‘Hotel, Carterton; Mr Maurice Alex Campbell to Mrs Dorothy Jessie Campbell, Club Hotel, Greytown.
