The Kaiapoi Woollen Company's manufacturing net profit is £31.054 for the year ended July 19. compared with £13,569 in the preceding year. The gross earning is up from £86,370 to £117,G7G. The preference dividend is unchanged at 5 per cent. The ordinary dividend is increased from 4 per cent to 5 per cent. The amount available for appropriation is £31.724, from which is it recommended that dividends should take £15,376, general reserve £2OOO and taxation reserve £13.000, leaving £1349 io carry forward as compared with £670 brought in a year ago. The demand for the company’s products has been accentuated by military requirements, which have exceeded the available supply.
