GERMAN REPORT

(Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) BERLIN, September 2.

A communique states “Our bombers and fighters yesterday continued their attacks on R.A.F. plant in England, including hangars and billets on aerodromes at Abingdon, Hendon, Henley, Bigginhill, Detling, Lympne and Hawkinge, which were all hit and partly set on fire. Various air battles developed, in which' our squadrons again proved their superiority. Points at Liverpool, Swansea, Bristol and Chatham were successfully bombed. “Enemy planes last night again attempted to attack Berlin and other towns, but were unable to drop bombs within Greater Berlin.

“The only damage elsewhere was to residential buildings. The enemy yesterday lost 62 planes. Nine of ours are missing.

“U-boats in the North Sea sank twe British destroyers."
