FIRST AID BOX
KEEP ONE HANDY. It saves a lot of time if there is a neat, portable first-aid box always kept in the same place in the house. And such an outfit can easily be made from two knife-boxes. If there are no disused ones in the home, they can be bought very inexpensively. Place the two boxes side by side and screw together firmly. If further divisions are needed they can be made with strong cardboard or plywood. The two handles of the boxes should be looped together with a strong piece of twisted cord or string.
For the cover, take three strips of American cloth, sticking down one end to the head of the box and securing the other end to the foot by a loop hooked over a furnishing stud. Label each section of the box, so that all the contents need not be exposed to the air when you only need one item from the box. And it's a good idea to mark a large red cross on the cover.
