QUEEN OF HOLLAND

HONOURED BY HER PEOPLE. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August-31. Congratulations and good wishes are offered by the Government and newspapers to Queen Wilhelmina of Holland on her sixtieth birthday. In the circumstances of her country and people, her Majesty is spending the day in retirement, but various ceremonies have been organised by the Dutch in London in her honour.

The day will be celebrated by Dutchmen all over the world as the Netherlands day of freedom. It is to be set apart as a Dutch national holiday and day of thanksgiving as a result of a movement begun recently in London by a group of Holland's leading business men.
