IN AIR BATTLE OVER'BRITAIN. ißy Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright/ LONDON. August 31. A story of the death of FieldMarshal Goering in an air raid over Britain led to denials by British and German radios today. The story was first heard in a broadcast from an American station.
Goering, it was stated, had personally flown al the head of one of the Nazi formations attacking Britain, and his plane had been involved in a battle with British fighters. The battle ended with the Field-Marshal's death when the plane crashed on British soil. H's body, it was stated, was being taken to London for formal identification.
